Two cases of individuals pointing a laser light toward an Osceola County Sheriff's Office helicopter led to one arrest, with charges pending in the other case.

A New Jersey woman who had been reported missing and possibly spotted in Celebration was found safe in New York Sunday.

The Kissimmee Police Department was searching for a shooting suspect at press time Wednesday after a victim was hospitalized with a gunshot wound.

Osceola County Sheriff's Office deputies are assisting the Hoboken (New Jersey) Police Department in the search for Emily J. Grace. 

At approximately 1 p.m. Aug. 26, the Sheriff's Office was contacted by Hoboken police in reference to a missing person. According to the Hoboken police, Grace was last seen in the area of Fort Lauderdale, but might possibly be in the Celebration area of Osceola County. Sheriff's deputies notified the surrounding counties and began a search for Grace.

Members of the Kissimmee SWAT Team at 3 p.m. Wednesday served a search warrant for a suspected drug house at 1409 Harbin Drive in Kissimmee and arrested Angelita Carrasco, 33.

Cassandra Green, 33, of Orlando, and her 2-year-old son, Steven Holtzapple Jr., were killed Wednesday evening in a crash with a semi at the Florida’s Turnpike entrance on State Road 60 in rural Osceola County.

A 47-year-old St. Cloud man, who allegedly made several bomb threat calls to the St. Cloud Walmart as well as other false reports through the 911 emergency number, has been arrested.

John E. Lawrence faces charges of making bomb threats and multiple counts of filing false reports.

Stephen Simpson, 44, of St. Augustine, was killed in a motorcycle crash Aug. 27 on State Road 60 in Osceola County.
